Rhodohypoxis baurii 'Dark Lights'

Prized, South African perennials for the well-drained rock garden or for containers, with small clumps of slightly hairy, grassy leaves that appear in late spring, quickly followed by simple, six-petalled flowers -- deep fuchsia and abundant in this cultivar -- on individual 3-4" stems. Full sun with occasional summer water and well-drained soil to protect from winter wet or life in a container that can be moved to a dry location. Frost hardy to at least 0F, USDA zone 7.
