Oblong, 2-4ā leaves are dark green above and lighter beneath.Ā In early spring clusters of threadlike flowers open from fuzzy buds to yellow stamens and red anthers. Prefers fertile, well-drained soil in sun or part shade; best protected from harshest sun in hot climates. Regular water. Frost hardy to the upper teens, upper USDA zone 8.Ā Some leaf loss or damage possible below.
