An older now seldom encountered selection remaining in juvenile growth for many years. Evergreen, rather narrow and upright to about 5 to 6 ft with leaves often under 1/4 inch, minty green coloring silvery purple during colder months. Compact habit with early spring burgundy flowers smelling of cinnamon candy. Excellent container plant or low hedge. USDA zone 8 to 8b, shelter from freezing winds.
