*RETAIL - Phlomis lantana

If you like "wooly" plants, this might be a favorite.  It is one of ours both for its looks and because we get to use a fancy word –"floccose"– to describe the thick and hairy, yellow leaves. To 2 ft tall x 3 ft wide or so with woolly, orange-yellow flowers in midsummer. From Crete, these are best in full sun with little summer water.  Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
