A 2026 Cistus introduction: another fantastic upright common manzanita. To about 12 feet eventually, but easily kept at about 6. Pearly pink flowers appear between December and early February, surrounded by light blue to blue-green evergreen leaves. All that and the cinnamon-colored bark makes it a truly wonderful plant. Able to withstand a fair amount of winter water, but let dry in summer. Full sun, adequately drained soil. USDA zone 7.
