Escobaria sneedii ssp. leei

This charming endemic in just a few small mountain ranges in southern NM, grows to only a few inches in diameter, producing multiple offsets, with small white spines, pleasing pink spring flowers. Surprisingly garden adapted in a trough, rock garden situation, proven hardy to USDA Zone 4. Keep out of excessive winter moisture.
